- Mrs. Martha Loveseth, formerly a well known resident of Camrose, passed away at Duncan, B.C., on Aug. 10th, after a lingering illness, at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 30 days.
She was born in Melhus, Norway, and immigrated to Turner County, South Dakota, with her parents in 1871. On Jan. 5, 1892, she was united in marriage to Mr. Lars E. Loveseth, who predeceased her in 1935.
In 1911 the Loveseth family moved to Camrose, where they lived until Mr. Loveseath passed away, and until 1946, when Mrs. Loveseth went to stay with her sons in British Columbia, as well as with a sister, Mrs. J. Hagen. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Jennie, in June of this year.
The people of the Camrose district will long remember Mr. and Mrs. Loveseth for the very willing contributions they made to the life of this community in the years when they were active. Especially will the Camrose Lutheran Church and the Central Innermission Society look upon them as some of the larger pillars in the church work of their day.
The late Mrs. Loveseth is survived by four sons, Enoch and John in Edmonton, Alvin of Cobble Hill, and Grant of Cowichan Station, B.C.; four sisters, Mrs. Hanna Okerlund of Kenyon, Minnesota, Mrs. J. Hagen of Wenatche, Washington, Mrs. O. Swee of Jamestown, North Dakota, and Mrs. Martin Rude of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
