Ruth Marguerite Vog, 73, Cathlamet, died May 28, 1980, in a Cathlamet nursing home. She was born Aug. 29, 1906, in Chinook.
She took her early schooling in Wahkiakum County, and graduated from Bellingham Normal College, now Western Washington University. She was a teacher in the Wahkiakum County area, and a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary B. Newcomer of Cathlamet; two sons, Ronald H. of Cathlamet, and Donald S. of Springfield, OR; a sister, Mrs. Irene Bacon of Cathlamet; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 am Friday at Dowling Funeral Home with Rev. Everett Groves officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cathlamet.
