Ruth Norman (Larsen) passed away on August 1, 2011 at the age of 91 years. She was born in Norway in February, 1920. After immigrating to Canada in 1927, her family settled in the Lower Mainland.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Einar, in 2006. Ruth and Einar raised their family in Vancouver, retired to Garden Bay and then she lived in Tsawwassen at The Waterford for 6 years.
Ruth will be missed by her 3 daughters; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as other family and friends in Canada and Norway.
She excelled at everything she pursued whether it be championship skiing, golfing, bridge, playing the stock market, and even gambling. She had many creative talents including playing the piano by ear, gardening, making beautiful floral arrangements, as well as being an accomplished artist. Ruth was generous and had a very kind heart and an incredible zest for life.
